Today, it is not just creative types who are constantly exhorted to “push the envelope” in their work. Inspired by a quote from ex-Foreign Minister George Yeo, this stainless steel paper knife features a subtly shaped grip that appears to be formed – literally – by “pushing the envelope”.

Here then is an elegant reminder of this rhetoric, and a counterpoint to artistic and creative passivity.
